Microwave:

• Microwaves are electromagnetic waves (EM) with wavelength ranging from 1cm to 1mm.
•  The corresponding frequency range is 1GHZ(=109Hz) to 300GHz(=1011Hz). 
• Therefore signals, because of the inherently high frequencies, have relatively short wavelengths, hence the name “micro” waves.
